Is the studio set-up best for headshots?
Not necessarily. It depends on the style that you like and you can see lots of examples of studio vs. natural light in my galleries. Some people prefer the clean, white background, while others find the natural light alternative a little more relaxed looking.
What clothes do you advise?
Think about how you want to be perceived and dress according to that. Avoid complex patterns and if you have opted for the white background studio, avoid white and very pale pastel colours. If you are going to be using the images for your website, then think about your branding, so that you don't clash with the colours on your website.
Do you work evenings, so we can get this done outside of business hours?
Yes, that's no problem. I charge the same rates as during the weekend.
I'm a student and I need a photo for my CV. How much will that cost?
I know that it's common practise in some European countries to include a photo on your CV. I am often contacted by students wanting the white backdrop style of photograph, but not having the budget for it. If you can get a group of at least 6 people together, I am able to offer a student discount. I will waive the session fee, so the total cost is £40 each, including your digital image.
